Build chest menus, native Bedrock forms and modern Java dialogs from the same YAML file. CrossMenu keeps the familiar DeluxeMenus style while adding reusable components, visual layouts, safe live reloads and a transactional DeluxeMenus importer.
Requires Minecraft 1.20.5+ and Java 21. One JAR supports Paper, Purpur, Folia, Spigot and CraftBukkit.
Highlights #
- Chest menus for Java players on every supported server.
- Native Cumulus forms for Geyser/Floodgate players.
- Native Java dialogs on servers that provide the Dialog API; chest fallback everywhere else.
- Reusable components shared between menu files.
matrixlayouts and automaticfill-itembackgrounds.- Per-menu reload and validation without taking other menus offline.
- Actions, requirements, animations, pagination, cooldowns and use limits.
- Open a menu on join or with a clicked item, not only with a command.
- Optional PlaceholderAPI, Vault, ItemsAdder and HeadDB hooks.
- Messages in 16 languages; export a menu with the components it uses as a zip.
- DeluxeMenus import with a dry run, overwrite protection and a clear conversion report.
Install #
- Put the CrossMenu jar in
plugins/. - Restart the server.
- Open the included example with
/crossmenu open example_main.
CrossMenu creates its config, language files, example components and example menus on first start. All hooks are optional.
When an update adds missing language keys, CrossMenu preserves existing values and comments and writes the untouched file first as lang/<code>.yml.backup-<hash>.
Platform notes #
- Minecraft 1.20.5+ and Java 21 are the supported floor.
- Paper and Purpur use their native scheduler and Adventure audience support.
- Folia uses global, region and entity schedulers; it never falls back to the unsafe Bukkit scheduler.
- Spigot and CraftBukkit use the Bukkit scheduler and the bundled Adventure bridge.
- Java dialogs require the server Dialog API. Older supported versions use chest menus.
- Servers older than Minecraft 1.20.5 are not supported.
