Protection display #

The HUD is configured under display in config.yml. Set enabled: false to turn it off, choose ACTION_BAR or BOSS_BAR with mode, and adjust update-interval-seconds from 1 to 300. The default action-bar interval is 15 seconds so it does not continuously cover messages from other plugins.

Leave display.text blank to use the translated pvp.display entry from the active language file. Set it to custom text to override that line for every player. The available placeholders are {hours}, {minutes}, {seconds}, and {lives}. All display changes apply with /newbieshield reload.

Integrations #

PlaceholderAPI exposes %newbieshield_pvp_active%, %newbieshield_pvp_remaining%, %newbieshield_totem_active%, and %newbieshield_totem_remaining% for online players.

MiniPlaceholders exposes the equivalent audience placeholders as <newbieshield_pvp_active>, <newbieshield_pvp_remaining>, <newbieshield_totem_active>, and <newbieshield_totem_remaining>.

LuckPerms receives the newbieshield-pvp and newbieshield-totem boolean contexts. NewbieShield does not require LuckPerms and does not link its API unless LuckPerms is installed.
