BountyBoard is a wanted board for survival and PvP servers. Players place money on other players, hunters track targets with a compass, and whoever kills a wanted player collects the pool. It is free, has no paid tier and keeps its data in a local SQLite file.
Requirements #
- Java 21 or newer.
- Spigot, Paper or Purpur, Minecraft 1.21 through 1.21.11, plus 26.1 and 26.2.
- Vault and an economy plugin that supports Vault. Both are required.
- PlaceholderAPI is optional and detected automatically.
Folia is not supported. BountyBoard uses the standard Bukkit scheduler.
Install #
- Stop the server and put
BountyBoard.jarinplugins/. - Make sure Vault and your economy plugin are installed.
- Start the server. BountyBoard creates
plugins/BountyBoard/config.yml, the language files andbounty.db. - Adjust
config.ymland run/bounty reload.
The SQLite driver is downloaded by the server on first start, so the first boot needs internet access.
What it does #
- Pooled bounties. Several players can add money to the same target.
- Two GUIs. A wanted board and a hunter leaderboard with player heads. No menu plugin needed.
- Compass tracking. A hunter can track a target, but the compass points to a randomised position near them, so it is never an exact GPS.
- Combat-log guard. If a target disconnects within a few seconds of being hit, the last valid attacker gets the bounty.
- Anti-farming. A cooldown per pair of players makes repeated collusion harder.
- Hunter levels. Kills, earnings and XP are saved, with configurable level thresholds.
- Periodic leaderboard reward. The top hunter of each period can trigger any console command.
- Safe payouts. Claims and refunds enter a durable queue first and are retried after a restart or when the player joins.
- Languages. English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French and Russian. Every message can be edited.
No telemetry, no update checker, no outbound connections beyond the one-time driver download.
